At Platinum One, we have three decades of experience in athlete representation, sports event creation, sports event management, sports sponsorship and staging.
Our team ensures the delivery of a consistent, high-quality service across each area of the business rooted in values often absent in professional sports.
We have:
- originated and managed events in football, golf and tennis
- financed and managed pre-season tours for giants of European football
- created made-for-television (in the USA) events
- project-managed some of golf’s showpieces, including the 2006 Ryder Cup
We've partnered with, among others, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona in football, the Ryder Cup and the DP and PGA Tours in golf. Aware that in all our work - including representing individual athletes - the issues of sustainability will become more important, two of our executives have completed university courses on sustainability in business.
Sustainability in Professional SportIn 2020, the board turned attention to the need for professional sport to integrate the UN’s sustainable development goals (SDGs) into the presentation of professional sport.
Platinum One aims to contribute to the need for professional sport – particularly football, as the world’s most popular one – to shift to a more appropriate practices across environmental and social issues.
Fintan Drury completed a course on Sustainability in Business with Oxford University’s Said Business School while Conor Drury, already a graduate in Planning and Environmental Policy, completed a similar course with Harvard.
Work on this continues.
